Caroline Victoria, a Harkness rose, was introduced in 2006 at the Chelsea Flower Show, London with Queen Elizabeth II, patron of the Royal Theatrical Fund, receiving the first bouquet. This elegant, ivory-white hybrid tea rose evokes effortless serenity and grace and is an excellent rose for the garden. Depending on heat and light, the coloring shifts from delicate amber-blush at early opening, to inner depths of light gold flushed with a trace of lemon, as the petals reflex. Fragrance is exceptionally long-lasting, with a base of light citrus with raspberry overtones. According to Robert Harkness, “It’s an excellent rose for the garden, and supreme as a cut flower for the vase. And it has the additional attribute of rapid rebloom.” We invite you to share your love of the arts by supporting the work of the Caroline Victoria Coldicutt Arts Foundation (CVCAF). Your purchase of the Caroline Victoria Rose for the Arts will help the CVCAF continue our crucial work of financially sustaining student artists. At the same time, planting a Caroline Victoria Rose for the Arts in your garden will be a lasting reminder of the beauty art brings to the lives of each and every one of us.
